The EGID badge from Pubsphere Exhibits uses LiDAR technology to ensure social-distancing preferences are met in exhibits and at corporate events. Users can calibrate the device to flash subtle yellow and red lights when an approaching person comes within a certain distance. For example, if a wearer programs a preferred distance of 6 feet, the badge would start flashing yellow when a sales rep first crosses that perimeter and change to red if the rep continues to come closer. As the rep steps back, the flash adjusts to yellow and then stops when the minimum distance is met. The badge attaches to clothing via magnets and is powered by a disposable lithium battery that can operate for months. While the stock color is light gray, EGID badges can also be ordered in custom shades and branded with company logos.
