Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center
Nestled in the heart of historic downtown San Antonio, along the banks of the famous San Antonio River Walk, the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center (HBGCC) is an architectural vision that embraces its commitment both to sustainability and to its multicultural environment. The facility's artwork reflects the history and culture of San Antonio, including paintings of the San Antonio mission churches and striking pieces from local artists. After a $325 million expansion and renovation that took place in 2016, the convention center has a 1.7 million-square-foot footprint with 514,000 square feet of contiguous exhibit space, two ballrooms, and more than 70 meeting rooms. The facility is surrounded by iconic attractions, including the historic Alamo and beautiful Hemisfair park.

WHERE TO SLEEP
There are 3,000 hotel rooms within a block of the HBGCC. The Grand Hyatt San Antonio provides direct access to the venue and has 1,000 rooms, and the Marriott Riverwalk offers an additional 500 rooms across the street from the convention center. If you prefer luxury, the award-winning Mokara Hotel and Spa is just four blocks away.
WHAT TO EAT
Lunch fare is abundant and diverse on the River Walk, though many locals head to nearby Schilo's Delicatessen, the oldest restaurant in the city, for its popular German-Texan fare. Entertain large and small groups at Biga on the Banks, which boasts stellar reviews and a riverfront terrace, or head to County Line for some true Texas bbq.
HOW TO GET THERE
The San Antonio International Airport is located 8 miles from downtown, and a taxi ride to the venue costs approximately $27. Uber and Lyft rates start at about $15 for rides to the convention center and once you get there, you can cruise around the city using its bike-sharing program. The HBGCC garage charges $10 per day, and other surrounding lots and garages charge $10 to $30 per day.

Texas is a “right-to-work” state, and union labor is not required. Event organizers may choose exclusive providers for work not performed by the venue's providers.

Exhibitors may hand-carry items through lobbies. They may only carry one item at a time, and it must be easily carried by one person.

Exhibitors placing pallets or crates in venue dumpsters during move-in are subject to a fee.

Exhibitors must use the HBGCC's exclusive rigging provider, Encore Event Technologies.

Free Wi-Fi is accessible in public areas and available throughout the venue for a fee from the exclusive provider, Smart City Networks LLC.

The RK Culinary Group LLC is the facility's exclusive caterer, and no outside food or beverage can be served in the venue.

The HBGCC's business center is operated by The UPS Store, which provides printing, copying, and some drayage services.

The use or display of confetti, glitter, rice, or helium balloons is prohibited. Violators will be responsible for any labor and materials required for cleanup.
