Artful Precision
When Morita Corporation unveiled its booth at the 2023 World Dental Show (WDS), the design team recognized that this exhibition needed more than a routine check-up. As a leading supplier of X-ray diagnostic and endodontic equipment, Morita Corporation's portfolio covers the spectrum of dentistry. It was important to paint with a bold stroke.

Morita has maintained a steady and polished appearance at regional dentistry conventions. However, with a once-every-four-year frequency and more than 20,000 attending dental professionals, the World Dental Show required a more curated approach. With its partner in design and fabrication, Hakuten Corporation, the company went below the surface to reveal the roots of Morita's artistry.
Transcending the usual façades, designers treated the finished products as an immersive architectural gallery. The “Morita Museum” spanned 105-by-50 feet, its alabaster walls gleaming like polished enamel, accentuated by gallery lighting. An expansive art deco cutout framed the entrance, teasing a glimpse of the displays inside. The façade, crafted from metal scraps salvaged from the factory, symbolized the harmonious blend of meticulous efficiency and artistic design that Morita is known for.
Design with Teeth
In developing and bringing to life the “Morita Museum,” the Japanese-based Morita Corporation elevated its products from cutting-edge dental tools into gallery-worthy architectural pieces of art. The displays revealed the artistry behind the company's development and design process, giving booth visitors something unexpected to sink their teeth into.
As attendees moved through the luminous white space, they saw powerful displays that would be comfortable in the Tokyo National Museum. Pin-spotted showcases, styled as deconstructed blueprints, revealed the hidden elegance of the company's design process. Like industrial sculptures, the exhibits highlighted intricate artistry rarely seen in dental products. “We wanted to make the invisible visible,” the design team shared. The gallery-worthy exhibit captured the curiosity of both visitors and our judges. “The museum was incredible,” one marveled. E
