Tulsa Regional Tourism Celebrates Annual Meeting, Announces TODAY Show in Tulsa
9/10/2025
TULSA, Okla. – For the first time in history, America’s preeminent morning television show will broadcast live from Green Country.
The 3rd Hour of TODAY from NBC will originate from Tulsa on Oct. 10, highlighting the unique, varied and diverse attractions that make Tulsa one of the top destinations in the United States.
“Tulsa and TODAY are a perfect match,” said Renee McKenney, Senior VP of Tourism for the Tulsa Regional Chamber and President of Tulsa Regional Tourism. “Tulsa’s people, culture and world-class attractions make it the authentic American story. Showcasing it on TODAY is an incredible opportunity, and making the announcement at our Annual Meeting made it even more special.”
The TODAY news came at Tulsa Regional Tourism’s annual meeting for the 2024-25 fiscal year. From July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025:
“I often think about Tulsa in three ways: What we were, what we are, and what we can be,” said Tulsa Mayor Monroe Nichols, speaking at the event. “Tulsa is still a bit of a hidden gem across the country, but we are rapidly changing that. The more people learn about who we are and what we have to offer, the more interested they become. That is why tourism and the partnership and collaboration between Tulsa Regional Tourism, the City of Tulsa, and stakeholders citywide is so important to the city and our future.”
The event also included appearances by Gathering Place Executive Director Julio Badin, River Parks Authority Executive Director Jeff Edwards, CEO of the Lobeck Taylor Family Foundation Brian Paschal and CEO of the Tulsa Performing Arts Center Mark Frie, as well as the presentation of Tulsa Regional Tourism’s Partners of the Year awards.
