GES Rolls Out Event-Emissions Reporting in Net Zero Push
11/17/2025
GES has launched a data-led ESG strategy aimed at accelerating its Net Zero goals. Over the past two years, the company has focused on improving data integrity through collaboration with internal teams and external partners - laying the groundwork for measurable sustainability outcomes.
GES now generates emissions reports on an event-by-event basis for fully serviced events, where it maintains full operational control. For outsourced elements, data quality remains a challenge - one the company is tackling through supplier engagement and transparency initiatives. So far, the company has successfully tracked more than 100 events, each providing valuable insights into regional differences and opportunities for improvement.
Looking ahead, GES aims to make emissions data available and operational across the entire EMEA region by this time next year, marking a major milestone in its commitment to transparency and continuous improvement. A comprehensive Net Zero progress update is also scheduled for March/April 2026, providing stakeholders with a clear picture of its achievements and next steps toward its sustainability goals.
“We have started working with our supply chain to actively encourage them to collect data,” said Kate Holliday, Head of ESG at GES EMEA. “Net Zero is about collaboration across the value chain - and data is the foundation for collective progress.”
This renewed vision builds on GES’s previously released Roadmap to Net Zero, adding operational depth through regional emissions tracking and transparent reporting.
