Who We Are
theAsianparent was born when our founder, Roshni was just 25 years old and living in New York City. To make ends meet, Roshni worked as a babysitter to take care of little girls aged 3 and 6. One day, she found herself googling if she could feed durian to her three year-old charge and realised that there was little relevant parenting-related content online in the context of her Southeast Asian culture. Roshni wrote her first article about feeding preschoolers durian that very night, and theAsianparent came to life.
What started as a simple blog has now evolved into a 250-employee strong content, community and commerce health-tech company. Localised in 12 countries, our brands - theAsianparent, theIndusparent and theAfricanparent - reach 30 million parents monthly.
Our vision is to help 100 million parents experience healthy pregnancies and raise healthy families. We are also working round-the-clock to reduce the number of stillbirth babies born across the world by 10% and would greatly appreciate any help that you could render to contribute to our goal.
